George Washington Memorial Parkway and its associated trails link sites to play and rest along the Potomac River from Great Falls Park in McLean, VA, to Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve in Alexandria, VA. This long park passes through many different habitats, from rocky gorges to rolling hills to tidal marshes, and is home to dozens of natural communities.
